An achievement for Gilro, the leading ice cream cones, wafers, and cake decorations manufacturer in Israel: An ice cream trolley stand of Gilro’s “Alma” brand won the Israeli Packaging Institute’s “Israel Star” competition for the year 2018. The award was granted to the “Carmel Frenkel” company, which planned the stand, and it provides it the opportunity to take part in the prestigious WORLDSTAR international packaging competition. The stand, as well as “Alma”s cones series’ design was by BLENDIT.
“Alma”’s ice cream cones stand is designed as an ice cream trolley in a retro-romantic style and it sells Alma’s ice cream cones, newly-designed to match the stand. The stand is positioned at different supermarket chains and has Alma ice cream cones for home use: Ice Cream Parlor Cones, America Cones, and “Tilon” cones. “Alma”’s ice cream cones, considered to be of the highest and finest quality, are exported to many countries worldwide. The cones are manufactured using unique technology and at the highest international level of food safety and quality.
Gilro, owned by Avi Gelbard, is located in Beit Shemesh and has 250 employees. The factory’s ice cream cones are sold to all the leading ice cream brands in Israel, including Nestlé Ice Cream, Unilever, Strauss, Ben & Jerry’s, Rio, Feldman, and leading ice cream parlors such as Iceberg, Vaniglia, Anita, Deli-Cream, Dr. Leck, Aldo, Siciliana and more.
